Two Telangana College Students Succumb After Consuming Pesticide in Suicide Attempt

Two female students from Government Degree College for Women in Telangana’s Nalgonda town, Enugudula Manisha (20) and Danthaboina Shivanai (20), tragically passed away after consuming pesticide in a suicide attempt. They were admitted to the Government General Hospital in Nalgonda but could not be saved.

The incident occurred when the friends consumed the pesticide at the municipal park in Ramnagar on the outskirts of Nalgonda. Both students hailed from Nakkalapally in Nalgonda district and were pursuing their second year of B.Sc. They were found unconscious in the park by local residents, with a pesticide bottle beside them.

The students had recently returned home from their hostel, and they had reportedly been harassed by someone who posted morphed photographs of them on social media. A case has been registered, and the police are investigating the matter based on a complaint from their family members.
