Man Arrested for Attacking Client’s Wife Over Pending Dues

A 27-year-old man has been arrested by the Saidapet police for allegedly breaking into a businessman’s home in CIT Nagar, Saidapet, and assaulting his wife due to a financial dispute. Syed Tahir, who had been hired by businessman Tarun Raj to perform work in his CIT Nagar apartment, demanded payment from Mr. Raj after a few days.

As Mr. Raj was not present, Tahir forcibly entered the apartment and engaged in a heated argument with Mr. Raj’s wife, Sivatharini. During the altercation, he brandished a small knife and inflicted a cut on her neck. When Ms. Sivatharini raised an alarm, neighbors rushed to her aid, prompting Tahir to injure himself and flee with a bleeding wound.

Police transported him to the Government Royapettah Hospital, where he received stitches for his neck injury. Subsequently, he was arrested for attempted murder and placed in a Prisoner’ Ward. Meanwhile, Ms. Sivathrini was admitted to a private hospital and is currently unable to speak.
