Man Held at Kozhikode Airport with Drugs Worth Rs 44 Crore

A 27-year-old individual from Uttar Pradesh, who had arrived in Kerala from Nairobi via Sharjah, was apprehended by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) at Kozhikode airport. The DRI officials discovered drugs worth Rs 44 crore in the open market hidden in his baggage.

Upon examination, they found 3.4 kilograms of cocaine and 1.3 kilograms of heroin concealed in shoes and purses. The man was taken into custody late on Monday night, and both the DRI and police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
