Adivasi Woman Gives Birth on Road Due to Ambulance Delay in Telangana
An Adivasi woman in Telangana’s Nirmal district gave birth on the road as her family awaited an ambulance that did not arrive in time. The woman’s family had called for an ambulance but were informed that the vehicle had no fuel. The incident occurred in the remote Tulsipet village, which lacks road connectivity.
The woman’s family had to carry her to reach the nearest road, and despite their efforts, she delivered her baby on the road after enduring four hours of agony.
The ambulance arrived only after the delivery. Both mother and baby are reported to be safe and have been shifted to the hospital. The incident has highlighted the need for improved road connectivity in such remote areas to prevent similar occurrences.
