Teenager Allegedly Kills Mother Over Suspicion of Messaging Someone in Maharashtra

A shocking incident unfolded in Maharashtra’s Palghar district as a 17-year-old teenager allegedly murdered his mother due to suspicions that she had been exchanging messages with someone on her phone. The tragic incident occurred late on Sunday night in the Parole area of Vasai township. The boy’s longstanding unease about his mother’s actions had led to frequent conflicts between them.

The victim, identified as Sonali Gogra (35), had reportedly been the subject of ongoing arguments with her son. As the mother was engrossed in messaging on her mobile phone during dinner, the suspicion triggered the teenager’s anger. Allegedly, he retrieved an axe and inflicted fatal blows on his mother. No other family members were present at the time.

Despite being rushed to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, she was declared brought dead. A case has been registered under IPC Section 302 for murder, and the accused, currently at large, is being pursued by the authorities.
