Cloudburst Triggers Flash Flood and Mudslide in Himachal Pradesh, Burying Seven People Alive

A tragic cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district resulted in a flash flood and mudslide, causing the burial of at least seven individuals in Jadon village. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. in Dhawla sub-tehsil, approximately 60 km from the state capital.

While four bodies have been recovered and five people rescued, a search and rescue operation is ongoing despite intermittent rain to locate three missing individuals. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh expressed his condolences to the affected families and assured all possible assistance and support to them during this difficult time.

The heavy rainfall has also caused significant infrastructure damage and affected numerous lives in the hill state.
