Chennai Police Arrest Habitual Burglar, Recover 80 Sovereigns of Gold

Chennai’s Madipakkam police have apprehended a habitual house burglar, Satheesh alias ‘Kili’ Sathish (27), from Greams Road, Thousand Lights. Acting on a complaint filed by Madipakkam resident S. Pannerselvam, who had experienced a burglary earlier this year, the police conducted an investigation leading to the arrest.

The complainant reported the theft of 60 sovereigns of gold jewelry from his locked house during his absence in March. The arrest resulted in the recovery of 80 sovereigns of gold jewelry. Satheesh, admitting to being a repeat offender, confessed to committing house burglaries to fund a lavish lifestyle.

He disclosed having targeted homes across areas including Madipakkam, Pazhvanthangal, Pallavaram, Ambattur, and Thirumalaivoyal.
