Six districts were drought-affected says TN government
The Tamil Nadu government has declared six districts in the state as drought-affected. The Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management, Kumar Jayant, declared 25 blocks in Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Sivaganga, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, and Virudhunagar districts as moderately drought-affected.
These blocks have experienced crop damage of more than 33 percent due to a shortage of rainfall, leading to the declaration of moderate agriculture drought-affected status.
