Concerts at the suburban nanganallur points to tremendous untapped young talent that needs to be noticed. Aravind's concert at the Ranjani Sabha clearly heralded this message.

Aravind commenced his concert with the Valaji Varnam of Lalgudi Jayaraman which gave a bright take off for the concert. This was followed by Jayachamaraja Wodeyar's 'Sri Jalandhara' in Ghambeeranaatai. The third piece was not-so-often heard Dikshitar's kriti 'Narasimha' in Mohanam. The brisky raga sketch and kalpanaswaras embellished the composition
Muthuswaji Dikshitar's 'Meenakshi' in Raga Purvikalyani received sedate treatment. Aravind improved the raga in detail, with key sangatis and briga sprays followed by a leisurely presentation of the kriti. Fitting the margazhi occasion, Aravind presented a creative RTP in Karaharapriya. This piece de resistance of the evening was long drawn in Chastusra Triputa Talam in Kanda nadai. The artist inter-wove a string of Thiruppavai verses and swara prastharas in ragamalika.
His choice of kritis exhibited wide repertoire – Ambujam Krishna's Om Namo Narayana (Karnaranjani), Oothukadu's Neeradha Sama (Jayanthasri) and Tyagaraja's Emani (Veeravasantham).
Mridangist Melakaaveri Balaji offered abundant support for the concert. The thani avarthanam and exchanges between Balaji and Guruprasad (Ghanjira) was enjoyed by the audience. Violinist Suresh Babu offered good support, though in few passages, one felt the violinist was going on his own trip.
