Excerpts from the Video Interview:
Your sister is a flautist. How did you get interested in vocal instead of flute?
I started singing at a very early age as my house reverberated with music perennially. My grandmothers Sikkil Neela and Kunjimani are renowned flautists who created interest in me. But my passion lay in vocal and this was discerned by my grandmother.
Who is your guru?
Vaigal Gnanskandan. He is honing my skills and channelising my potentials.
About December music season ?
I always look forward to music season from childhood. The ambience, the rasikas and the spirit captivates me. I am planning to sing new ragas and of course Ragam Talam and Pallavi for this season.
