Actor Vijay has decided not to have any truck with AVM Productions, one of India's oldest production houses with more than six decades of experience in the business. The actor is upset that none from AVM did bother to inform him about selling the distribution rights of his yet-to-be released AVM's 'Vettaikkaran' to Sun Pictures.

Vijay got to know about this only after reading about it in newspapers. Vijay's father and director S.A. Chandrasekaran got in touch with AVM and sough to know at what price the film had been sold to Sun Pictures but didn't get the desired reply from the other end. Vijay is said to be upset on two counts: first, when his call-sheet was required the producers remained with him and when the film is over, they wouldn't come on the line to speak on phone.
Secondly, the producers are not said to be pressing the distributors (read Sun Pictures) to release the film as soon as possible. Following this, he has decided not to have any truck with Balasubramanian's AVM. Vijay had already snubbed AVM Saravanan once when he took the advance, couldn't continue the film he had agreed and had to return the advance amount to Saravanan. This theoretically means that Vijay would not align himself with both the AVMs in future.
Faced with a hat-trick of failures in 'Azhagiya Tamizh Magan', 'Kuruvi' and 'Villu', Vijay badly needs a hit and that too at the earliest. Though Vijay's stance against AVM appears justified, it won't benefit him to stand on the other side of one of the major influences in Kollywood!
