Santhanam is emerging as a multifaceted talent day by day.And now he is all set to challenge other hero's ,since he is going to  play the lead after a very long time. Last time we saw santhanam playing a lead role in  the movie Arai En 305il Kadavul. The sources say that the actor has been roped  for the Tamil remake of SS Rajamouli’s Maryada Ramanna.

This time its PVP Cinemas who holds the remake rights and  is ready to produce the film. Director of the movie is said to be R Kannan, who is at the moment directing  Settai, the remake of Delhi Belly,which also has santhanam .Looks like the duo combo will once again cherish the audience .

To be noted that for this lead role Siva Karthikeyan was also selected , but the luck favoured  Santhanam. As we all know the Hindi remake of the film, Son of Sardaar, starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt has hit the screens recently and is doing well.
