Vijay TV’s Diwali Dhamaka!

Vijay lights up the television screens this Diwali with an exclusive line-up of programmes featuring the top stars of Tamil cinema and Movie premieres.

Diwali celebration starts with devotional program – ‘Nadaswara’  at 05.00 a.m., Arul Urai at 05.30 a.m.,  Naragasura Vadam at 06.00 a.m., Sangamam at  06.20 a.m.,  followed by Sri Padmavati Thayar Brahmatsovam at 06.40 a.m.,  Putham Pudhu Paadal at 07.00 a.m.,; the best music tracks of the most anticipated movies due for release.

At 07.30 a.m. Sivakumarin Nerukku Nerr; A trip down the memory lane by actor Sivakumar, a show about the most interesting moments and about the heroes and heroines of 1950s to 1970s.

At 09.00 a.m., Ilayathalapathiyin Thuppakki; An exclusive sneak peek of the stylish action flick Thupakki, directed by A R Murugadoss. Starring - Vijay, Kajal Aggarwal, Jayaram, Vidyut Jamwal, Sathyan.

At 04.00 p.m. Thangamagan Vijay; a special show, a first of its kind heart speak by Shoba Chandrasekar, on her doting son, the mass Hero Vijay.

At 04.30 p.m. Annai Illathil Kumki; Chevalior Sivaji Ganesan’s grandson Vikram’s debut in to tinsel town. A special show on Kumki Diwali in Annai Illam.

At 05.00 p.m. Karthi Alx Pandian; A review of the upcoming action film Alex Pandian. Starring – Karthi, Anushka Reddy, Santhanam, PrathapPother. Directed by Suraj and music by Devi Sri Prasad.

At 05.30 p.m. Oscar Nayagan; Watch the unfold marvel and most anticipated film - Making of Life of Pie, directed by Ang Lee adapt Yann Martel's acclaimed novel about a young man stranded on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger.  The first look of the film and an exclusive chat with Kamalhassan.


‘Vettai’ at 11.00 a.m.

A action film written & directed by N Lingusamy. The film stars Arya, R Madhavan, Sameeera Reddy, Amala Paul. Music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film revolves around two brothers, the elder being sensitive to violence and the younger being a jobless youth, settled in Thoothukudi. After the death of their father, a police officer, the elder brother takes on the same job by request of the younger. The older brother rises to fame in his job by having his younger brother secretly punish suspects and save victims for him. This angers two of the village's biggest mob bosses, who begin to seek revenge on the elder brother. After getting severely beaten by them, the elder brother loses his fear and becomes physically stronger through training from his younger brother. How the brothers get back at two gangs and protect their families form the rest of the story.

‘Nanban’ at 06.00 p.m.

The biggest blockbuster of 2012 directed by one of the most prominent names in Indian cinema, Shankar. Starring the “Ilayathalapathy” Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Ileana, Sathyaraj, Sathyan, SJ Surya. Nanban tells the story of three Engineering students who come from different backgrounds with different goal in their lives. Pari, Senthil  and Venkatramakrishnan are the three friends who are very close friends in the class. Pari wants to see studies that should be useful to our lives and doesn’t believe in memorizing subjects like Srivatsan.   Pari wants to change the education system and often lock horns with Professor Virumandi Santhanam the Principal whose says: "Life is a race - Run". He wins the heart of Virumandi's daughter Riya and the film is about his journey.
