Va. Gauthaman was the director of the film 'Kanavae Kalaiyadhae' that starred Murali and Simran released a few years back. After a gap of many years during when he remained in self-imposed hibernation, Gauthaman now makes a comeback in Kollywood with a film based on the well-known novel 'Thalaimuraigal' penned by famous author Neela Padmanabhan.

The film has been titled 'Magizchi' (meaning 'pleasure' in Tamil). Gauthaman plays the lead role besides directing the film, in which director Seeman is all set to play the important role of Kuthalam. At the press meet held to announce the launch of the film 'Magizchi', the pressmen directed most of their questions at Seeman, grilling him about the length and impact of the character he was to play in the film.
"My character is the same typical one I always like to portray: that of a protagonist. I personally feel that I don't need a song sequence or to romance a heroine to convey my point of view across to the viewers" said Seeman in his characteristic thick-set voice.
Gauthaman introduced the producer Manivannan to the pressmen and said that though he narrated the story to many producers who seemed to be impressed with the script, it was only Manivannan who approached him with a budget to produce the film. "Tamil audiences have a history of making rejected scripts successful; I sincerely believe the same occurs in my case too," concludes Gowthaman.
We too wish him success!
