Shruti Haasan to pair up opposite ‘Jeyam’ Ravi

‘Jeyam’ Ravi has come in for lot of praise for his daring act to star in a film opposite five rank newcomers in his latest release ‘Peraanmai’.  While even upcoming heroes demand that they be paired opposite top and frontline actresses, Ravi’s gesture has indeed warmed the heart of Jhananathan, the director the film.  This only shows the generosity that Ravi has been known for, industry watchers point out.

Shruti Haasan

When Prabhudeva approached ‘Jeyam’ Ravi to play the lead role in his next film, Ravi only said he may not like to pair up opposite Nayantara but didn’t go as far as suggesting a particular heroine as Nayantara’s replacement.  In the hindsight, Ravi might just have made the right decision as he has got the multi-faceted Shruti Haasan as his heroine.  Producer Kaplathi Agoram has managed to rope in Shruti who was heartbroken after her debut film in Hindi ‘Luck’ didn’t fetch her any more offers.

With Ravi’s dynamism and Shruti’s stunning looks, the pair has already started generating huge expectations.  Impressed by Prabhudeva-Ravi combine, Shruti reportedly spoke to her father Kamal Haasan, on a whirlwind tour of the U.S., before agreeing to star in Prabhudevaa’s film.

The photo-shoot is expected to begin in a week’s time, it is said.  For beginners, the film has been named ‘Paris’.
