                    ~(Monday to Friday at 5.00 pm to 5.30 pm)~

Gurukulam is Program aired on Sankara TV, targeting the viewers, who are interested in learning sacred hymns and acquire knowledge about our tradition and culture. Amrita Bindu, a program in which a set of students learn Sacred Bhagavad Gita and Lalitha Sashasranamam through an interactive session, was a huge success.

Many people across the country including people from remote villages have communicated to Shankara TV insisting that a similar program be aired to teach Slokas. Hence, under the guidance and direction of K L Srinivasan, Gurukulam program was started and went on air from May 2010 on Monday to Friday at 5.00 pm to 5.30 pm.

We all know that very few children are learning the important Hymns of our tradition not just because they are not interested, but because a proper Guru is not there creating an opportunity to learn. Simple slokas, which even a small child can learn and gradually teach the difficult ones has been the key factor for the very high popularity of the program. People from various walks of life, varied age groups and from many different locations have expressed deep satisfaction in learning from this method.
