The tall and pretty Lakshmi Rai, last seen in ‘Dhaam Dhoom’ opposite ‘Jeyam’ Ravi, is somehow not able to make it big in Tamil films.  Till date, ‘Dhaam Dhoom’ happens to be the only successful film in her 5-year long career.  She is currently playing the lead role in ‘Muthirai’, produced by Anees Jeeva, opposite Daniel Balaji. 

The film also stars Nitin Satya who is paired opposite a new comer and ‘item’ girl Rakhi Sawant from Mumbai, who has been keeping the whole country spell-bound with her daring costumes and attitude. 

Lakshmi Rai, who was rumoured to be the muse of India’s cricket captain Dhoni, has been sweating it out in the gym nowadays to get that ‘hourglass’ figure.  She plans to get her ‘hot’ portfolio shot in the near future, to be circulated among some of Bollywood’s leading directors and producers to land her Hindi film assignments.
