Actress Maalavika, who turned herself into 'item girl' with many songs (Vaalameenukku being the highlight), is rumoured to be making a comeback in tinsel town. Maalavika, now a mother of a four-months old boy, had said in an interview a few months ago that she would be back in action sooner than later in Kollywood.

They hoped that Maalavika would start off her second innings with a brief role in the Jeevan-starrer "Naan Avan Illai-II". It may be recalled that Maalavika had a significant role to play in the film's first part as well. It now appears that Maalavika has other ideas. 'Mangai'Harirajan had recently been to Mumbai to meet Maalavika and ask her to act in his next film.

Maalavika had reportedly told Harirajan that since her child was only a toddler, she could think of making a comeback as an actress only after some time. Wonder whether Maalavika had anything to enquire about the film 'Kaartheegai', which faced quite a lot of rough weather due to the complaint made by her. Nisha Kothari later stepped into Maalavika's role but one never knows the status of the film now!
