Pooja returns to Tamil films after a long time with 'Nana Kadavul'. She was last seen in 'Oram Po' with Arya. She is again paired with Arya in 'Naan Kadavul', directed by Bala. The film had been in the making for a long time and has raised expectations among cine-goers. Pooja is very excited for one extra reason: she has dubbed in her own voice for the first time for 'Naan Kadavul'.

She says that while the Tamil press has been writing that she has got engaged to a Sinhalese boy, the Sinhala press is full of news that she has been engaged to a Tamil boy. Where from such rumours emanate, she wonders. The pretty actress opined that she was neither in love with anyone nor was any arrangement being made at present in connection with her marriage.

She says that she would decide about her marriage depending on the 'response' she would be getting from prospective producers and directors once 'Naan Kadavul' releases. She is hoping that it would give her the much-needed 'big break' in Tamil films. She says that she didn't sign up to play Arun Vijay's love interest in his home production 'Malai Malai', due to her pre-committed engagements in Sinhalese language films.
