Director
Simbudevan,
who was
approaching
one comedian
after
another to
star in his
new film,
reportedly
got fed up
when
Vadivelu
demanded
Rs.4 crores
and Vivek
Rs.1.5
crores.
Finding no
other go, he
spoke
casually to
choreographer-turned-actor-turned-director
Raghava
Lawrence
about the
film. The
latter
immediately
agreed to do
the film
purely for
the story
and said
that fee
could be
worked out
later, in an
amicable
manner.
The
producer of
the film,
Aingaran
Films, are
already
their hands
full with 'Villu'
and 'Peraanmai'
and had
reportedly
told
Simbudevan
to start his
project
after the 'Jeyam'
Ravi-starrer
'Peraanmai'
is
completed.
Simbudevan,
meanwhile,
had started
looking for
some
prospective
producers.
Tail-Piece:
Karunas, on
a high after
the expected
success of
his 'Dindigul
Sarathy; is
said to have
assured
Simbudevan
that he
would star
in the film
and also
locate a
'suitable
producer'
for the
director.
Simbudvan
couldn't
believe his
ears and the
two are now
said to have
become
inseparable.
