After
actress
Nayantara
spurned ace
director
Maniratnam's
offer to be
part of
under-production
movie 'Raavan'
citing
call-sheet
problems,
Mani has
opted for
Reema Sen to
step into
the role of
Mandodari.
Reema Sen,
who had been
busy
shooting for
Selvaraghavan's
'Aayirathil
Oruvan' for
the past
couple of
years, is
now a happy
woman now
that the
film's
shooting is
over and the
film is
gearing up
for a
release.
Reema was
very
particular
in not
committing
herself to
other movies
before
completing 'Aayirathil…'.
Under normal
circumstances,
Reema should
have been
very happy
about
getting an
offer to
star in a
Maniratnam
film and
should have
given her
consent
straightaway.
But that's
not to be.
While
Maniratnam's
side has
reportedly
insisted
that Reema
should be
joining them
for the
shooting of
'Raavan'
immediately,
Reema is
unable to do
so as she
has been
'stumped'
again by
Selvaraghavan
who has
asked her to
be ready for
a 10-day
shoot as
'some
portions' of
'Aayirathil
Oruvan' are
to be
re-shot
again (oh,
not again!).
Feeling
pressure
from both
the sides,
Reema finds
herself in
an
unenviable
position of
whom to
oblige and
whom to
refuse. She
was already
upset with
Selvaraghavan
for the
undue delay
in the
making of 'Aayirathil…'
the anger
has now
given way to
complete
hatred,
sources say.
