After his ascent to the 'throne' of Deputy Chief Ministership, Stalin was congratulated and offered good wishes by many leading film personalities individually. Now one hears that the Producers' Council is planning a grand function to facilitate the Deputy CM on behalf of the film industry. The proposed function might be held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium with all entertainment items like performance by leading stars, musical night, etc.

The Council is in talks with the Nadigar Sangam to make preparations for the above-said event. Obviously, an event of this magnitude would involve a huge expenditure. A Central Minister from Tamil Nadu, on condition of anonymity, has reportedly assured the organizers that he would 'take care' of the entire expenditure in connection with holding the event. ( guess who?!)

The same Minister is said to have been instrumental in organizing such a facilitation function for Kalaignar a few months back. When the Minister could even surprise the CM with such a grand event, he would only be making it richer when it comes to Deputy CM's felicitation, sources say.
