It seems that Captain's worries are far
from over as far as his future in Kollywood is concerned. All his recent
films, especially after he had entered into the politics, have bombed
miserably at the box office. His latest film 'Engal Aasan' which was
slated for the Pongal release, could not hit the screens due to no fault
of the hero.
The problem cropped up in the form of a suit filed by Seventh Channel
Narayanan against the producer of 'Engal Aasan', Thangaraj. The heart of
the matter, according to the source is that Thangaraj owe quite an
amount of money to Narayanan and did not pay it back for a long time. So
the matter was referred to the court, and Naryanan wanted the film not
be allowed to screen till his dues were paid. The court on its part, has
agreed that there is substance in Narayanan's argument and ordered an
interim stay on the film's release.
According to sources, the 'Guru Peyarchi' was not good for the actor
and that he did grand 'Parihara' poojas in temples. There was news item
in the press that the mass marriage conducted by the Captain was to
please the Gods and Stars. Obviously judging by the turn of events that
are happening to Aasan, the celestial beings are not fully satisfied as
yet.
