The shooting of K. Shankar's Endhiran, Rajinikanth-Aishwarya Rai starrer is now happening in Chennai. The unit is now in action in the capital city after hectic shooting schedules in Peru, Goa, Ennoor, and Vellore Institute of Technology. A romantic duet featuring Ash and Rajini was held in a spectacular glass house (remember the Sahana song in SIvaji?) erected for this purpose.

According to sources, the beauty queen plays a student and Rajini plays a scientist. The romance between the two in college was canned in the Vellore Institute of Technology ten bays back.

After the shooting schedule in Vellore, the unit was supposed to proceed to Kulu Manali for a song but it is learnt that it had to be postponed, because of Aishwarya's commitment for Maniratnam's film. So the plan was changed and hence the shooting in Chennai. There will be more scenes shot in Chennai to reduce the costs.

Shankar is now concentrating on song sequences, which are among the major plus points of his flicks. The songs, as always are expected to have a great music and grand looks. The unit has so far completed three songs, it is learnt.
