A
journalist
put up an
innocuous
question to
the director
of the film
‘Krishnaleelai’
at the
press-meet
organized in
connection
with the
release of
the film.
The news was
‘passed on’
to Susi by
some source
and within
an hour,
Susi
reportedly
called up
the
journalist
in question
and blasted
him off in
anger.
“We are
proceeding
in our
planned
track. Do
you have any
idea as to
what’s the
budget of
our film and
the film you
mentioned
about? It’s
a great
mistake to
have drawn
similarities
between the
two films.
No harm in
having asked
such a
question but
ensure that
it doesn’t
appear in
the press as
it is”
blurted out
an angry
Susi Ganesan
before
slamming the
receiver
down.
Selvan,
the director
of ‘Krishnaleelai’,
appears to
have a
different
viewpoint.
“I have
narrated
(this) story
to Junior
NTR way back
in the year
2004 itself.
All I know
is that my
story is a
genuine
one”, says
Selvan. The
significance
in ‘Krishnaleelai’
is that
Jeevan
appears in
some
sequences
wearing a
mask.
Generally,
heroes only
tend to wear
those masks
that don’t
hide their
faces
completely
so that the
audience
recognizes
them. In
contrast,
Jeevan mask
in ‘Krishnaleelai’
covers his
face fully.
Now, it
remains to
be seen
whether the
viewers
would accept
such a
‘faceless’
hero or not!
