The
proposed
film to be
directed by
Myshkin
starring
Kamal Haasan
in the lead
has run into
rough
weather even
before it
started.
Myshkin had
earlier
discussed
with Kamal
in detail
about his
willingness
to remake
the
Hollywood
blockbuster
'Living
World' in
Tamil. It is
also said
that Kamal
had
consented to
play the
lead role in
the film.

Myshkin's
script is
said to have
been
inundated
with
'political
overtones'
criticizing
the modern
political
trend and
this appears
to have put
Kamal Haasan
off. After
giving it a
deep thought
and
reportedly
discussing
the pros and
cons of
being part
of such a
'political'
film,
especially
in the 50th
anniversary
year of his
entry into
films, Kamal
had
reportedly
decided to
opt out of
the project
on his own.
After
Kamal rang
up Myshkin
to convey
his decision
of opting
out of the
project,
Myahkin has
become very
upset. To do
a film with
Kamal Haasan,
Myshkin had
earlier
refused to
do a film
with
director-actor
Cheran. As
such,
Myshkin
seems to
have been
caught in a
not so
enviable
situation as
he now can't
hope to get
back to
either Kamal
or Cheran.
"It'd be
better if
you could
conceive a
story of
your own
without
making a
story 'based
on' some hit
project. If
such a
script
excites me,
we would no
doubt work
together in
future" is
what Kamal's
advice-cum-statement
to Myshkin.
Following
this,
Myshkin is
said to be
burning a
lot of
midnight oil
in putting
together an
exciting
script to
thrill 'Ulaganayagan'.
So, the much
awaited
Kamal-Myshkin
might still
prove to be
a reality!
