Yuvan is
about five
friends, who
have failed
to succeed
in life,
joining
hands with
an ulterior
motive. The
movie begins
as an
emotional
drama and
becomes an
action-flick
dealing with
bank
robbery.

Yuvan, who
has also donned
the
protagonist’s
role, has come
out with a
different theme.
He has looked
into the
ill-effects of
humiliation
caused by
inabilities. The
psychological
insight has been
presented in the
backdrop of an
engrossing tale
of a crime.

Team Talk
Adhi (Yuvan)
is one of those
who haven’t made
any impact
during school
life. After
being neglected
by his family as
a useless
fellow, Adhi
comes to city to
seek his
livelihood where
he meets a rich
and beautiful
Gayathri (Madhu
Priya) and
instantly falls
for her. To his
surprise, the
girl too falls
in love with him
and they get
married in just
a month. But
they get
separated in
just a day.
Shattered
Yuvan meets his
four friends,
who studied with
him in school.
They too are
struggling to
make both ends
meet. Together
they hatch a
conspiracy to
rob a bank.
Their clever
plan puzzles
police after
robbery. After
getting the
money, mistrust
crops up.
Friends get
killed one after
another and the
hunt for the
killer follows.
Yuvan, who
survives, tries
to settle scores
with his
conceived
offenders.
Yuvan has
conceived a
story with
complexities and
executed it
well. He has
handled the
psychological
aspect of the
experiences in a
commendable
manner. The
movie progresses
in a brisk pace
post interval
but songs apply
speed brakes.
The problem
with the script
is that it
becomes
predictable
after a point.
The pre climax
sequences are
dragged beyond a
limit and hence
they try our
patience.
Music
director Thaman
(one of the boys
in Shankar's
Boys) has given
a couple of racy
songs.
On the whole,
Sindhanai Sei
impresses with a
new theme and a
different
treatment
despite a few
flaws and
predictability
in the
narrative.
