It's
the third time the duo has come together. Shaam and Sneha had
earlier come together in 'Aiy Nee Romba Azhaga Irukke' and 'A.B.C.D'
Now the pair comes together again for the new film 'Inba'. The
film is directed by debutant Vendhan who had trained under
directors R V Uday Kumar and Thiagarajan. Shaam is said to sport
a totally different look in this film, with his hair and beard
grown long for the role. The film also has Arun Pandian, who
plays Sneha's brother, and Rekha who plays his wife. There is
also Sulakshana in a crucial role.
Namita's role play
They
play the lead with senior heroes and complain that they find it
difficult to get roles with the younger ones. But for Namita it
is a different story. The glamourous star has shared frames with
seniors like Satyaraj and Vijaykanth. And now Namita pairs with
Vijay in 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan' and with Ajith in 'Billa'. But
the screen sizzler this time round has to share frames in these
two films with another heroine. And Namita has already played
one of the five leads with Jeevan in the recently released 'Naan
Avan Illai'.
Sundar C. the hero
After
'Thalainagaram' doing fairly well at the box office, Sundar C.
has been accepted as a hero. And now the director-turned-hero,
and husband of Khushbu, has film-makers making a beeline to his
house. Sundar has on the floors two films. In 'Veerappu', where
he is paired with Gopika, he plays a rowdy. A role played with
élan by Mohanlal in the film's Malayalam version. And there is
'Thee' where Sundar plays a police officer who takes on a
coterie of anti-social elements who are out to disturb the peace
of the country. Here Sundar is paired with Ragini, a model from
Malaysia. The film is directed by Kicha.
No stopping Simbu
Pushing
the controversies about him to the back of his mind, Simbu is on
to his new film 'Kalai', where he has two heroines paired with
him: Vedika and Sangitha.
A heroine from Mumbai too will be part
of the cast, one hears. The film also has Vadivelu and Santhanam
for the laughs, and Lal in a crucial role. Produced by NIC Arts,
the film is directed by Tarun Gopi who had earlier directed the
Vishal-starrer 'Thimiru' which was a big hit. Simbu plays a
simple youth who is forced to take to violent means for a cause.
Suriya-Gautham Menon team up
The
shooting for 'Vaaranam Aayiram' is going on at a fast pace. The
Suriya-starrer is directed by Gautham Menon and produced by Oscar
Films. Though the film had gone on the floors some time ago, the
director reportedly was on a hunt for three female leads. After
the names of Asin and Trisha cropped up, it is now 'Boys'
Genelia who is playing the central role. The other two are being
played by 'Kuthu' Ramya and Shreya Reddy. The Suriya-Gautham
team's earlier joint effort 'Kakka Kakka' was a slickly made
entertainer. So expectations are naturally high for this film.
