'Gentleman' is back

kunjumonhanRemember K.T. Kunjumon, the producer of 'Gentleman' with Shankar who introduced director Shankar to Kollywood. Kunjumon went on to produce many big-budget films before fading into oblivion. Now, almost a decade after he produced his last film, Kunjumon has re-surfaced in Kollywood.

Kunjumon's new film has been named 'Kadhalukku Maranamillai' ('Love Never Dies'). There was even talk in the industry that once Shankar became a director with a reputation of producing/directing big-budget films, he could've done his bit to uplift Kunjumon, who was reportedly going through a rough patch as far as his financial status was concerned. Now, all such talk is a thing of the past.

kunjumonhanThe launch of 'Kadhalukku Maranamillai' was held in a typical grand manner by Kunjumon recently in the city. The surprise package was that Shankar was one of the participants. Shankar, apparently was courtesy personified, as he remained respectful in front of Kunjumon, who had given him a break as a director with 'Gentleman'.

The appreciations were mutual as Shankar thanked Kunjumon in his speech for having introduced him and Kunjumon praising Shankar for 'possessing' the talent to survive in the industry for more than fifteen years.
