Rasu Madhuravan, who recently directed choreographer-turned-actor-turned-director Raghava Lawrence, Namitha and Sneha in 'Pandi' directed Prashanth's 'Poomagal Oorvalam' a few years ago. He has now moved on to his next project titled 'Mayaandi Kudumbathar'.
Madhuravan has created a 'record' of sorts in 'Maayandi Kudumbathar' by making as many as dozen directors act in the film. The list of directors in 'Maayandi Kudumbathar' includes Tarun Gopi, Seeman, Azagam Perumal, Manivannan, Nanda Periyasamy, Ravi Maria, G.M. Kumar, Singampuli, Jegannath, Senthamizhan and a couple of others.
Of late, the tendency of directors turning actors has been on the rise, with Cheran, Ameer, Raghava Lawrence, etc. turning full time actors. Madhuravan's job of direction hasn't surely been made easier in 'Maayandi Kudumbathar': he has his hands full with having to direct the 'acting prowess' of dozen-odd directors.
