Actress Shriya was the one who was first offered the lead role opposite Vishal in 'Sathyam'. Due to call-sheet problems, she couldn't do the film and the role eventually went to Nayanthara. Now, Shriya teams up with Vishal for the first time in a film titled 'Thoranai', which will be directed by Aiyappan (who worked as assistant director with Bhoopathy Pandian).
Vishal, who was to play dual roles in a film to be directed by Prithvi, has put off his project for now. Vishal is reportedly still not out of the shock of the debacle of 'Sathyam' and might need some more time to script his 'superhero' story, said to on the lines of 'Krrish'. Mani Sharma will be the scoring the music of 'Thoranai' while Priyan will be the cinematographer.
'Thoranai' will again by Vishal's home production, produced by his brother Vikram Krishna's G.K. Film Corporation. Vishal's next venture would be produced by Ramesh Babu of Kanakarathna Movies and will be directed by Selvaraghavan, who is currently busy with the shooting of 'Aayirathil Oruvan'.
