Kalaignar's film throws surprises

Neeyindri Naanillai 'Neeyindri Naanillai', for which Kalaignar would be penning the story and dialogues, is based on a novel titled 'Surulimalai' written by Kalaignar long back. The film is being directed by Ilavenil, who also directed Kalaignar's 'Uliyin Osai' last year.

The shooting of the movie might commence on 12th July, Unit sources say. Another surprising but unbelievable bit of news doing rounds in Kollywood is that on the day the announcement about the launch of the film appeared in ruling DMK's party organ 'Murasoli', the distribution rights of almost all the areas had been sold off. This happens only in case of superstar Rajni's movies.

The fact that director Ilavenil's last film 'Uliyin Osai' was a hit film and made distributors and theatre owners happy was the reason for distributors' interest in 'Neeyindri Naanillai', it is learnt.

How come a CM finds so much time to write stories for movies, attend meetings/functions singing/dancing his praise, whereas we the public suffer from rising prices, inflated education costs, fleecing autos, shrinking water supplies, unannounced power cuts, etc. etc. Worst of all, people shower undue praise on a film writer (viz. CM), even before the movie is produced, forget its release. Stinking, isn't it ?
