It
is official.
The
speculation
over the
remake of A
Wednesday is
over. Kamal
Hassan
himself has
confirmed
that he is
doing the
remake of A
Wednesday in
Tamil. He
also
informed
that he is
playing the
role enacted
by
Naseeruddin
Shah. The
shooting
will
commence
soon and
that the
film will be
directed by
a newcomer
from USA,
informs
Kamal.
Kamal
revealed all
this during
his address
at the FCCI
2009 on 19th
Feb,
Thursday at
South
Cinema. The
actor went
on
expressing
his views on
the current
state of the
industry.
"From my
experience,
there is no
point in
crying and
running to
mamas /
papas
(government
officials)
regarding
the problems
of the
industry. We
are now
grown up to
handle the
situation
and manage
our problems
on our own",
said Kamal.
He also
talked about
the problems
for the
entry of the
corporate
companies
into film
production.
"I think
there is an
element of
fear in
Tamil cinema
and in
allowing the
entry of
corporate
companies.
Business of
cinema must
welcome
everyone to
come in",
declared the
versatile
star.
Kamal
also
strongly
advocated
for using
the new
technologies.
He saw no
reason for
the fear
about the
digital
technology.
Ulaga
Nayagan also
urged the
industry to
recognize
the video
industry,
which,
according to
him, will be
very much
helpful for
the growth
of the
Cinema.
