The musical chair game is over. The permutations and combinations over the remake of Shahid Kapoor - Kareena Kapoor starrer the romantic smash hit Jab We Met have come to an end. It has been made official that Bharath and Tamannaah will play the lead in the movie.
Earlier it was said that Dhanush and Trisha would play the lead roles. Then Dhanush, for reasons unknown, lost interest in the project and Trisha too opted out. With the exit of the two stars, Moser Baer, the company that purchased the Tamil remake rights, found itself in a fix. After a small gap, the company has managed to rope in Bharath and Tamannaah to play the lead.
Bharath, who had tasted some success with his Pazani, suffered setbacks in Nepali and Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moondrammandu. The sources reveal that he is rethinking about his decision to concentrate only on action roles. It seems that he has made up his mind to do variety of roles and hence he has accepted to play the romantic role in the remake of Jab We Met.
Thamannah, on the other hand, has no such predicament. The cool looking girl is making deep inroads in Kollywood with films with the stars like Suriya. The chance to play the role played by the Bollywood leading star Kareena Kapoor would certainly be another feather to her cap.
The movie is expected to go on floors by September.
