It has almost become an unwritten rule in Tamil industry that the star-sons have to work hard to erase the liabilities incurred by their respective fathers. First, director S.A. Chandrasekar invoked heavy losses when he produced 'Aadhi' starring his son Vijay and Trisha. The film was a disaster at the box office and the loss is still hurting him.
To overcome the financial strain caused due to 'Aadhi', SAC is now directing 'Pandhayam' starring Nitin Satya, Sindhu Tolani and Prakashraj in lead roles. Like he did for 'Chukran', here too he has decided to rely on his son's star-power and has cast him as a guest actor. Vijay, as expected, won't be charging any fee from his father (what a gesture!) this time around too.
Cashing in on his son's popularity, SAC has tactfully sold the film at a rate more than it would otherwise have sold. Another father who has been retrieved by his son is none other than director-producer Kasturi Raja, who recently had an utter flop movie in 'Kaadhal Varum Paruvam'. His elder son Selvaraghavan has decided to step in to help his father out.
Selvaraghavan, who is currently busy with his 'Ayirathil Oruvan' starring Karthi and
Andrea in the lead, has decided to direct a small-budget film after completing his present project. The new film will star 'Chinna superstar' Dhanush in the lead and will be produced by Kasturiraja himself, making it a strict family affair.
