When a heroine pairs up with the same hero for two consecutive films in a row, tongues start wagging. This has also happened in pretty Karthika's case as well. Karthika, who debuted with 'Thoothukudi' and won many hearts with her uncluttered dance movements in the 'Karuvapaiya...' number, has already done 'Naalaiya Pozhudum Unnodu' with Prithvi, son of actor-director Pandiarajan.

The petite Karthika has again paired up with Prithvi for the film 'Vaidehi', and sparked off rumours of an 'affair'. Even Karthika's close friends seem to be making fun of the actress. The actress, who recently came out of a case involving her paying rent to her house owner, is intent on concentrating on her work rather than replying to those rumours.



Karthika avers that she has a significant role to play in 'Vaidehi'. Karthika's first condition to producers/directors approaching her for their films is that she will not 'expose' in her films. Only if the condition is acceded to, will she sign along the dotted lines in the agreement. Money doesn't rattle Karthika, who says it's only performance that counts in the long run.
