After the stupendous success in Dasavatharam, Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan and Asin will be seen again together in a film titled '19 steps'. The film revolving around the martial arts of Kerala, will feature Kamal Hassan, Japanese superstar Tadanobu Asano, and Asin.

The movie planned to be made in 50 million dollar, is produced as a co-venture by Bharath Bala Productions (BBP) and Walt Disney and directed by Bharath Bala.



Asano plays a blood thirsty Samurai Kenji seeking to conquer the ancient Indian martial art of Kalaripayattu (precursor of Karate). He learns the tough 18 steps and masters the 19th from an Indian guru played by Kamal and Asin will play a local princess.

19 Steps will go on the floors in mid-2009 after Kamal completes his film Marmayogi, which is another Hollywood co-production
