Caution:
Don't
be fooled by
the title
believing
that SJ Suriyah's
latest
offering 'Newtonin
Moondraam
Vidhi' has
anything to
do with
science
fiction or
even
remotely
connected
with any of
the famous
laws of
gravitation.
The film is
just another
revenge
story.

JP (Rajeev
Krishna), owner
of a leading
television
channel, gets an
anonymous phone
call on a
morning (from
Guru - SJ
Suryah)
'informing' that
he would be
killed within
the next couple
of hours. Even
as JP ponders
about the
seriousness of
the call, the
subsequent
incidents
reaffirm that
the call might
not be a hoax
one at all. JP
presses the
panic button.
Watch the movie
to find out
answer to
question like
whether JP
survives the
attempt, who was
the murderer and
what was the
motive behind
the aim to
murder JP.
Newtonin
Moonraam Vidhi
is a story of
revenge where
the hero avenges
the rape and
murder of his
sweetheart
(Sayali) by the
culprit. It's
the difference
in treatment of
the
(oft-repeated)
story by the
director that
makes one sit up
and take notice.
Guru is madly
in love with
Priya who works
as programme
host on 'Eagle
TV'. After the
marriage plans
are finalized
and as the date
of marriage
nears, Priya is
spotted
accidentally by
JP, her boss,
who lusts after
her. Despite
using his
enormous wealth
and manpower, he
is unable to get
Priya agree to
be part of his
life. Finally,
JP catches hold
of Priya who
manages to leave
a concrete proof
to the rest of
the world before
dying at the
hands of her
captor. The
proof was
sufficient
enough to help
Guru find out
who the culprit
was and
kick-start his
act of revenge.

J Surya Is Back!
Guru plans
the killing of
the culprit so
that it
coincides with
the first death
anniversary of
his beloved
Priya. The story
is full of
interesting
twists and turns
and is about how
Guru uses his
quick-witted
brain and
strategically
drawn plans to
fool the Police,
politicians and
the rowdy
elements who
come to JP's
aid.
After giving
JP a deadline of
a couple of
hours to die,
Guru exposes
many crimes and
follies
committed
allegedly by the
former and plans
to scare him to
death. When JP
comes to know
who is after his
life with the
help of a
gangster (Yugendran),
it only adds to
the pace of the
screenplay.
Director Thai
Muthuselvan has
some neatly
crafted
sequences up his
sleeve that make
viewing less
boring. Sequence
exposing JP's
other 'woman',
the political
scams, and the
manner in which
Guru forces JP
to come to CMBT
Koyambedu are
just samples of
some smart
sequences.
Generally,
the term 'logic'
is given a go-by
in horror and
thriller films
but here,
Muthuselvan has
made a decent
effort to tread
closer to the
path of
acceptable
logic. The
romantic
sequences are
just about okay
and appear 'hot'
in the final
song. Former
Miss India
Sayali Bhagat
has a beautiful
face and
fabulous body.
She looks sexy
and adds glamour
quotient to the
fare.
Director-turned-actor
Suryah has
delivered his
best performance
till date and
looks convincing
in most of the
sequences.
Sayali Bhagat
hardly gets a
chance to act
but is good in
the scene when
she is
overpowered by
JP. Rajeev (JP)
looks like a
perfect villain
material, as he
emits the
desired range of
emotions at will
and to the
liking of the
audience.
An impressive
effort all the
way!
