Big Bazaar, the value retailing concept of Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd and a part of the Future Group, has come to
Chennai.
The Rs 15 crore store is being operated by Anandram Developers Pvt Ltd, agents of Pantaloon Retail (I) Ltd, and is one of the largest stand-alone stores in the city.
Promising that nobody sells cheaper and better, the Big Bazaar store, which is located on 45-47, Arcot Road, Saligramam (Near Bharani Hospital), Chennai - 600 093, has
an area of over 50,000 sq ft on the ground floor itself, and offers special discounts and offers of up to 60 per cent on more than 1,60,000 products 365 days a year.
Commenting on the opening of the new outlet, Rohit Malhotra, Operations Head, South Zone, Big Bazaar, said, "We feel very proud that Big Bazaar has now marked its
presence in the largest metropolis of south India and the capital of Tamil Nadu. Now, the homemakers in Chennai will get to experience the convenience of shopping for all

Big Bazaar, Chennai, showcases the following: apparel and accessories for the entire family including women's wear, kids wear, casual wear, men's wear, accessories and
fashion jewellery; personal care products; baby care products, stationery, toys, footwear, plastics, home care products, household products, gift articles, flowers, electronic
products, mobile handsets, furniture, sports accessories, luggage and kitchen equipment.
It also has a Food Bazaar.
The special discounts and promotional offers, which are available at regular intervals make the format very unique and distinct, Malhotra said.

2,018 crore for the financial year 2005-06. Headquartered in Mumbai, the company operates through primarily the 'lifestyle' and 'value' formats through multiple delivery

Thiruvanananthapuram, Mysore, Hubli, Udupi, Vijayawada and so on.
"We want to have a Central Mall in every state capital within one-and-a-half years," Malhotra added.
