IndiaMobile Show Time, the unique film promotion platform, brought Kamal Hassan,
Abhirami and Pasupathy, the star cast of 'Virumaandi'
for a multi-point to multi-point videoconference with winners of R World &
WebWorld contest simultaneously across three cities of South India, Chennai,
Hyderabad and Kochi. The stars interacted with the winners from across three
cities via high-speed videoconference from the Reliance WebWorld on Anna Salai,
Chennai.
'Virumaandi'
is promoted under the banner of Reliance
IndiaMobile Show Time. Besides the conventional channels of press, outdoors
and collaterals, it employs R World, the data application suite of Reliance
IndiaMobile and Reliance Web World stores in three cities for a real broadband
experience.
Reliance
IndiaMobile subscribers could experience the variety of movie excitement on
their phones through R World, watch movie trailers, download wallpapers of their
favourite stars, read the storyline and participate in interactive programmes.
Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi were simultaneously linked @ 768 kbps speed for
this videoconference, thus demonstrating the broadband capabilities of the
company.

"Reliance India ShowTime, the digital entertainment platform created
exclusively for the subscribers of Reliance IndiaMobile
is unique in many ways. This interactive programme involves a contest that is
open to the subscribers wherein the subscribers are entitled to win prizes. The
biggest prize lies in interacting with the stars through the real broadband
experience. For 'Virumaandi', 75
lakh subscribers participated out of which 154 were winners, and nine of them
interacted with the stars today."

Reliance WebWorld is setting up
a nationwide chain of retail stores for digital entertainment and communication
and will serve as a one-stop-shop for Reliance Infocomm products and services.
Each store will contain three key modules - a Customer Convenience Center,
Javagreen, a gourmet coffee bar, and a Real BroadBand Center to showcase
broadband connectivity through applications like video chat and conferencing,
multi-player online gaming, digital personalised music, digital theatre, digital
photo imaging, virtual office and real broadband high-speed Internet - about 100
times faster than the dial-up access in today's homes. Broadband centres are
available in 15 cities and soon will be available in over a 100 towns all over
India. Currently, 250 Reliance WebWorld stores are operational across the
country, which will progressively be extended to nearly 2,000 stores across 600
cities.

in India and the world. It enables the introduction of complex Internet
