So it’s college time. And for those of
you, who are new to the college and locality, searching for that perfect
hang-out here’s a ready reckoner!
The Marina beach makes one of the most pleasing hangouts for the
students of Stella Maris College. After college hours (or even during)
if you feel like traditional food, then all you need to do is cross the
road and you have Gangotree. If you are a shopaholic,
Mee can be of
interest to you. Don’t mind the cheese and not weight conscious? Then
Pizza hut at R.K Salai can be a good choice for spending some relaxed
time together. Pockets aren’t all that lumpy, and would just like to do
some window-shopping with your cronies then why not head to the
Citi
center

If you are an M.O.Pian then you needn’t worry at all, for you are at
the heart of the city. A two-minute walk from here is
Ispahani Center.
The chocolate truffle and the other pastries at Sweet Chariot in here is
a must try. If you want to surprise your friend for her birthday, why
not book the top floor at Marry Brown. Or you can just come with your
buddies, watch the TV and grab some student’s burgers just for 25 bucks.
If you want to sit for long, then you choose between café coffee day
at Ispahani Center or the near-by Barista and Mocha. You can also go
Snow-bowling which is just opposite the income-tax office. You can also
try the clothes at Cool Club or Easy 2 Wear, if you are not all that
brand conscious.
Apart from all this, Satyam Theatres seems to be a smack among the
students, especially of Ethiraj and M.O.P. Flower Drum and Spice Oven
at
the Pantheon Road can be a good choice for lunch and are a big hit among
students of Ethiraj. If you want to spend some good time with your
friends, you can just hangout in Alsa Mall and also munch some
sandwiches and toasts from the stalls outside here. Also try the trendy
footwear of Bollywood Shoes and the clothes at Fashion Street for they
come in no fancy price tags and are as cheap as rupees 100. And yes, the
Spencers plaza.
If you are a budding fashion designer of NIFT or an upcoming chef
from the IHM, what else can be a better hangout than Ascendas, offering
a variety of Chinese, Italian and Indian food also catering to ice cream
and coffee lovers? A drive to the Elliots beach with your friends to
spend some quality time together talking, eating or shopping is also
suggested.
So freshers? Looking forward to June? There are a lot more things
other than college for you to hope for.
