Profile of Manoj K Bharathi
 Manoj is the son of veteran director Bharatiraja. He was born on September 11 at Theni. Forced into acting by his father, he made his debut in 'Taj Mahal' as the hero opposite Ria Sen. Since then, he has done seven films. As a preparation for his career, Manoj did a course in Theatre Arts in the University of South Florida.
Manoj has apprenticed with director Maniratnam, and says he would love to work in one of his movies. Among his other favourite directors are Sridhar, K Balachander, Shankar, and of course, his father Bharatiraja. Rajinikant and Kamal Hassan are his favourite heroes, while Simran and Aishwarya Rai are his favourite heroines. Manoj hopes to work with Aishwarya Rai in one of his films. He likes his roles in Taj Mahal, Varushamellam Vasantham, Eera Nilam (his forthcoming movie), and says he would like to do the role of an anti-hero or that of a psycho. In fact, Manoj tried his hand in 'Alli Arjuna', but unfortunately, it didn't work out satisfactorily.
Presently, Manoj is awaiting the release of 'Eera Nilam', directed by his father.
Manoj has a passion for music, and is a trained pianist. He loves video games, and spends his free time playing a lot of such games. He is a fast-food freak as well, and relishes chicken, which is his favourite. His favourite colours include red and black, and his favourite holiday spot is Tampa Bay in Florida.
