The continuing rise of child sexual abuse in India is alarming.  Whether you are a girl, or a woman, or a toddler, you are not safe anywhere. Not in school, not at home, no place is safe for women.

The ripples of the shock wave of the rape of a 12-year-old school girl at Chennai’s Ayanavaram has not died down, now we have yet another news.

A class 2 student was allegedly raped in a government-run school in the national capital.

The incident reportedly took place on August 8, in an NDMC school in Gole Market area when the victim was on her way home.

The accused stopped the victim and took her into the water pumping room and raped her.

The child's family lives in slums near the school. The police have arrested an electrician.
