Chennai, April 21: Maruti today released the first teaser of Swift Dzire 2017, by revealing the design sketch of its profile. Maruti industries also confirmed that the national launch will be conducted by next month. Maruti Suzuki will launch the new 2017 Swift DZire in India on 25th May as confirmed by a source close to the launch process.

Like a regular sub-4m sedan, the new Swift Dzire retains the 3-box sedan design but draws cues from the latest Suzuki Swift. For instance, it has the “liquid flow” lines seen in the Baleno and gets LED headlamps with DRLs in the top-end grade. The top-end Dzire will ride on new 15-inch dual tone multi-spoke alloy rims, while the rear-end has all new vertical taillamps. The bold chrome accents of the front fascia seen in spy shots are also highlighted in the design sketch.

Maruti dealers have already started accepting booking for the upcoming sedan at a token amount of Rs 5,000. Maruti Suzuki, however, hasn't officially confirmed any launch date yet. The changes made to the Swift DZire will be cosmetic as well as the inclusion of new features in the cabin.

The 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire will compete against the likes of the new 2017 Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze and the Tata Tigor in the segment and is expected to be priced around Rs 5.5 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
