Kodanadu Mystery Continues: Jayalalithaa's Accountant found dead under mysterious circumstances

Nilgiris, July 4:  One more person working in the Kodanad Estates belonging to late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa was found dead under mysterious circumstances, according to reports reaching here.

On Monday, Dinesh Kumar was found hanging at his house under mysterious circumstances.

The body of Kumar, one of the three accountants attached to the estate which used to be Jayalalithaa's retreat, was taken to Kothagiri Government hospital, where a postmortem would be carried out, police said.

Some months back, a security guard was murdered by a group at the estate. Subsequently, two men suspected of involvement in the killing of the security guard met with separate road accidents, leading to the death of one of them.

The Kodanadu estate figures in the disproportionate assets case involving jailed AIADMK general-secretary VK Sasikala and late Jayalalithaa, among others. Jayalalithaa used her sprawling 900-acres property to stay for rest and treatment over the last few years before her death on 5 December, 2016.
