Chennai, June 13: The Raintree, Anna Salai is celebrating the rich culinary legacy of diverse Indian cuisines with 3 weeks 3 cuisines themed dinner buffet at their multi-cuisine restaurant, The Kitchen starting from 2nd to 22nd June 2017. The theme of the current week is named ‘Maharashtra Ki Swad’ which will have cuisines from Maharashtra and will be held from 9th - 15th June 2017 at The Kitchen.


This week’s theme celebrates the cuisines originated from Maharashtra. Marathi cuisine is known for its distinct yet commonly shared attributes with north and central part of India has wide variety vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Some of the signature dishes served at the buffet are kolhapuri mutton chops, mutton tambada rass, komdi rass, naraali mutton curry, ratna giri style fish curry, gauran chicken, khandeshi mutton curry, soaji chicken, arhadi chicken rassa,   kolambi masala ( prawn), rawa fried fish, andyachi tikhat bhaji. In vegetarian bharli vangi, vangya batatachi bhaji, puneri varan, golyachi amti, kala chana amti, varadi usal, sengdane methi chi bhaji, cauliflower batata rassa and many more Specialties from Maharashtra. The buffet will also have special Maharashtra Desserts like puranpoli, modak, shrikhand, till ke laddoo, mumbai halwa, narali pak. Apart from the delicious cuisines, this buffet also have some interesting elements such as interactive live stations of vada pao, bhajiya pao, pao bhaji, usal pao, misal pao, bhel puri, sev puri, ragda pattie, samosa chaat, machchi bazar and farsan counter.
