Vijay – A man of Class among the mass

June 22, 2018, Chennai

Vijay aka Ilaya thalapathy, a man of few words, celebrates his 44th birthday today. He is the next superstar, has hordes of followers, yet he chooses to be humble and polite.
It is no mean feat that there were no gossips about him in his almost 25 years of movie career. As they say, it is easy to be a saint in the Himalayas, it is difficult to be one amidst the glitz and glamour of the movie dom.
Born as Joseph Vijay to director S A Chandrashekar and Shobha, he was always interested in becoming an actor. He debuted in “Nalaya Theerpu,” which was a dud at the box office. He was criticised for his looks and his acting powress or the lack of it. He struggled, but he let his actions speak.
Major turning point was the movie “Sendhurapandi,” in which he co-starred with Vijayakanth, his father’s protégé. This movie gave the much needed fillip to his acting career and he retained the success with his choice of movies like “poove unakkaga”, “Kadhalku Mariyadhai.”
He is multi-faceted and has versatile talents. He is a singer and he dances like a dream. His dance movements will leave you drooling for more. He is a complete package.
Vijay has had his own share of ups and downs. Throughout his career spanning 20 years, he has been resilient and has always steered clear of controversies.
He has a clean family man image, so much so that his female fan following prefers to call him Anna.
Chennaionline wishes the “Ilaya Thalapathy” a very happy birthday.
