Vijay Tv's Kanavugal Kaanum Vyasaachu, the search for the next batch of dreamers to be cast on the super hit series Kanaa Kaanum Kaalangal will hit the television screens from July 14, 2008 onwards.

Kaana Kaanum Kaalangal, the popular serial running successfully for more than 300 episodes, reminisces the joys and sorrows of school life.

Recently, auditions for the 2008 batch were held in Chennai and Madurai. Over 700 aspirants took part in the auditions to be a part of the 11std batch. Twenty three fresh faces were chosen from both the zones (Chennai & Madurai) and the next set of auditions will take place in Coimbatore on Saturday, July 12, 2008, 8am onwards.

'Madurai' Senthil, Prof.Raviraju, Actor Vijay Adiraj, Actor/Professor Mu.Raa and Koothupatarai fame Kalairani were the judges for Chennai and Madurai zones.

The chosen faces from each of the zone will now be put through acting and grooming workshop and assessed on their acting capabilities. Special trainers from the field of theatre will groom the chosen candidates and help them to perform better. Later, their acting capabilities will be judged by film personalities like Suhasini Maniratnam along with other known faces from the television industry.

The entire hunt will air as a reality series on Vijay TV, titled "Stayfree Secure Ultra Thin Kanavugal Kaanum Vyasaachu" from July 14, 2008, Monday - Thursday, 7:30pm on Vijay TV.
