Sasi, who has given us ‘Sollaamalae’, ’Rojaakkoottam’,
and ‘Tishyoom’ is presently directing ‘Poo”.
Srikanth is the hero and Parvathy, the heroine. She, as
Bharathy, has already acted in the Malayalam films
‘Notebook’ and ‘Flash’. Sasi is also handling
screenplay, dialogue for a popular short story of Sa.
Thamizhchelvan. S S Kumaran, a student of the Taramani
Film Institute is scoring tunes for the lyrics of Naa
Muthukumar. ‘Sollaamalae’ had depicted as to how a
youngster had chopped his tongue for the sake of love.
‘Rojaakkoottam’ had depicted the importance of good
understanding between lovers. ‘Tishyoom’ had depicted
the love of a college student for an ordinary stunt
actor. And, what is going to convey through ‘Poo’?
Whether as a seed embedded in earth or as a dried up log
in the hot sun or as a broken wood in a storm, it is
natural for some plants to flower. This, according to
him, is the story of two human flowers.
P G Muthayya, a Visual Communications student makes his
debut as the Cinematographer. Produced by Moserbear, its
shooting is on in the southern districts.

V Ravichandran, who has given us several box office hits like
‘Kathalukku Mariyathai’, ‘Vaanaththaip Poala’, and ‘Anniyan’,
and who is presently producing the megamovie Dasavatharam with
Kamal, is also making ‘Ananda Thandavam’. A R Kanthikrishna, who
had introduced Vishal as hero in ‘ Chellamae’, is directing this
movie.
In this film, he is introducing a vibrant youngster Siddharth,
as the hero. Thamanna and Rukmini are pairing him. Charlie,
Madanbob, kalarani and after a long interval, Kitti are in the
cast.
Shooting commenced at Ooty. Presently, shooting is on at
Tenjkasi, Kutralam, Ambasamudram, Papanasam and Kothayar Dam.
Dialogue is by Sujatha. ‘Veyil” fame G V Prakash has scored the
music for lyrics by Vairamuthu. Incidentally, Kanthikrishna was
an Associate of Director Shankar.
