Maestro A.R. Rahman, released the music of Yuvan Shankar Raja, the son of legendary music director Ilayaraja. He released the audio track of director Venkat Prabhu's Saroja on Monday evening in Chennai City Centre.
It would be an understatement if you describe the event as colourful. A sumptuously decorated hall, with every table adorned with a poster - photographs of the cast of the film with a few snippets about them. If that was not enough, the invitation spoke a lot more. Titled 'Times of Saroja', the four-page newsletter read and looked like a newspaper - with different snippets and news reports on the making of the film.
To add to all this was the galaxy of stars, adding style and colour to the glitzy evening. S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, Bharatiraja, K.S. Ravi Kumar, Ameer, Vikraman, Dharani, Trisha, Sneha, Vega, Vishal, Jeyam Ravi, Prasanna and Arya and producer of Saroja T. Siva were spotted at the launch.

Rahman in his short and sweet speech recalled the early days when he used to see Yuvan as a small kid. "I still remember Yuvan calling me 'uncle' as a kid when I was taking lessons from his father. I don't have to talk about Yuvan Shankar Raja or his music. He has grown up to find his own feet."
Yuvan informed the audience that he had composed the songs in just two days. The film has six songs, including an Indian rock number. A montage song 'Dosth bada dosth', shot on a highway, also promises to rock youngsters.
Saroja is slated to release on August 15, with Premji, S.P.B. Charan and RJ Shiva of Chennai 600028 fame promising to provide a thriller laced with comedy.
